Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing membrane are available in white or tan and in a variety of thicknesses including 45 mil (.045″), 60 mil (.060″), 72 mil (.072″), and 80 mil (.080″).
In Santa Fe the reflective qualities are a wash and tend to NOT reduce energy costs for homeowners.
First the roof deck is prepped.
TPO roofs systems typically start by installing a ½” fan fold insulation (r=2) attaching with screws to the building’s roof deck. The TPO membrane is then screwed to the insulation. Laps and seams are heat welded together to ensure a watertight seal.
Factory made and ready to install are boot jacks and other flashings completing the installation of your new roof.
